Beginners guide to running

First, and the most important - don’t rush. You need to start slowly and then gradually increase your workout time. In the fitness world, rushing leads to injuries and discouragement. Second, if you aren’t used to running, then start by brisk walking to warm up and slowly move onto running. So, you can warm up by walking for say, five minutes and then start jogging and gradually get into running and again, end your run with walking. Third, getting side stitch is common for runners; exhaling hard and long or bending over at the waist while exhaling helps greatly. Fourth, your muscles need to rest after a workout so they can grow. To prevent your muscles form burnout, take a day’s break after every run, at least in the beginning. Fifth, get the right running kit. The most important thing every runner needs is the right shoes. Most runners prefer to carry a bottle of water, taking small sips in between helps.
